Research notes

This page explicitly uses the phrase 'modern plastic canopy shading' combined with 'traditional centuries-old techniques,' whereas the Asahi SC page from the same retailer describes only reed-and-straw shading with no mention of plastic. Treated as a discrepancy across the retailer's own product pages rather than resolved to one answer.
