Production Method
Leaves shade-grown, air-dried as Tencha (flat, de-veined leaves), then stone-milled between granite stones that rotate slowly to stay cool; result is fine powder that is almost neon green; liquor is opaque, brilliant green color, thick and frothy

Product Description
This is an excellent matcha... a thick matcha, meaning it has sufficient umami that provides sweetness and mouth-filling flavors, allowing one to add more to create a texture similar to thick mud. That is appreciated in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
